7. Youth Program: Joe has talked with 4H leaders about turning classes for 4H members. March 6 from 9-1 is a tentative date and time for the first class. Class size would be limited to eight students aged 12-18, and the $15 cost would provide each student with a 2010 QCWT membership. If the class isn’t full, beginning turners from QCWT could fill the empty slots. Art made a motion to adopt this plan and Anne seconded; the motion carried. Joe will get back to the 4H leaders.
8. Newsletter Change: The board agreed to send the newsletter out by email to those who have email (it is also posted on the website). Paper copies will be printed for those who don’t have email, and Denny will continue to mail paper copies to a few people who have requested it because physical problems or work schedules that don’t allow them to come to meetings.
9. Additions to Library: Anne made and Art seconded a motion to provide Ron Curtis with $300 to make 2010 additions to the CDs and DVDs for the library. The motion carried. Ron is also looking for a flat screen LCD TV to run CDs/DVDs on meeting night.
